How to Play

SELECTION A is a solo run. SELECTION B races against three CPU riders. Pick TRACK 1–5.

Every track has two races: CHALLENGE RACE, the qualifier, and MAIN RACE, the final. Each race is two laps. Finish within the 3RD time at the lower left to advance.

Clear the TRACK 5 main race to conquer every course. The game then loops. T is the number of completions.

B turbo raises TEMP. Filling it causes an overheat and a stop of about three seconds. A stabilizes at about two-thirds TEMP. Riding through a ≫ cool zone resets TEMP to 0.

You crash if your landing angle does not match the ground. Clear small bumps with a wheelie (←). Hitting a rival's rear wheel with your front wheel crashes you. Hitting their front wheel with your rear wheel crashes them. Crashed riders and bikes are obstacles. Repeated A/B presses speed recovery after a crash.

Controls

Keyboard↑↓ move lanes / ← wheelie and raise the nose in air / → lower the nose in air / X A (normal throttle) / Z or Space B (turbo) / Enter or P start and pause / C or Shift select / M toggle sound / K key setup (tribute-only)
Mouse onlyMove the pointer up or down to choose a target lane. The left button is B and the right button is A. Keeping the pointer in the left third of the screen holds ← (wheelie / nose up); the right third holds → (nose down); the middle is neutral. The mouse wheel also taps ← / → briefly. Click the HUD, the black area at the bottom, to start or pause.
PhoneUse the D-pad on the left, A/B on the right, and ST (start and pause) plus SEL in the center. The ☰ in the header opens the guide, key setup, and language. M mutes sound. The page stays on one screen.
GamepadIn the standard mapping, B is the bottom button and A is the right button. START, SELECT, the D-pad, and the left stick also work. KEY CONFIG can freely change both keys and pad buttons. Settings are saved in the browser.
Pause menuChoose CONTINUE / RESTART RACE / QUIT TO TITLE.

On phones, open this guide from ☰. Opening it during a race pauses the game.

Technique Guide

Use A and B differently

Holding A never pushes TEMP above halfway. B is faster, but TEMP rises quickly. Use B as the default. Switch to A when it becomes dangerous.

Always ride the cool zone (≫)

A cool zone lowers TEMP to its initial level. It creates more track where you can run with B fully open.

Change the jump in midair

Speed does not change in midair. → makes the jump faster and lower. ← makes it higher and shorter. Right is the default. Use a brief left input only before an obstacle you cannot clear.

Aim for the fastest landing

Hold → in the air until just before landing. Tap ← at the last moment to match the ground angle. Return to → right after landing. If that is difficult, landing parallel to the ground is already fast enough.

Lower TEMP in the air

Release B in the air to lower TEMP without losing speed. This is a basic technique used by world-record-level riders. To lower it on the ground, hold A while still holding B. It works only when TEMP is above halfway. Below halfway, it rises instead.

Enter the super jump ramp at top speed

A super jump ramp adds to the speed just before launch. Entering at top speed gives the best result.

Adjust jump distance by changing lanes

Move to the nearer lane just before a jump to travel farther and stay airborne longer. This also gives more time to lower TEMP in the air. Move to the farther lane to shorten the jump. It prevents overshooting a super jump ramp. Speed itself does not change.

Wheelie over small bumps

For a step lower than the front wheel, hold ← on the ground and cross with the front wheel raised.

Crash rivals and avoid accidents

Put your rear wheel into a rival's front wheel to crash them. Put your front wheel into their rear wheel and you crash. A fallen rider is an obstacle, so move away from lanes with many accidents.

Tap A/B after a crash

Repeated A/B presses shorten the time until the rider returns to the bike. TEMP stays after a crash. Do not keep holding B immediately after recovery.

Advanced: change the button layout

This is an advanced approach from the original game. Arrange controls so you can hold →, then override it with ← only at landing. This tribute recreates it with KEY CONFIG.

Input timing and numeric values follow this tribute's implementation. Required times are estimates and vary by source.
